Dr. Lloyd Abbey
Dr. Abbey is the owner of General Veterinary Hospital. He has been serving the community with animal care since 1977. With degrees in agriculture and veterinary medicine, Dr. Abbey is equipped to provide ongoing veterinary care to his patients and the community. He genuinely enjoys carrying on the traditions of the founding veterinarians at our animal hospital as well. Dr. Abbey is a proud father and grandfather, and he is also the loving pet parent of Hetty, his Shih Tzu. When he isn’t working, Dr. Abbey enjoys gardening, working on old cars, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Many people don’t know this, but Dr. Abbey is responsible for the flowers seen at the animal hospital every year!
Dr. Sahil Dhillon
Dr. Dhillon comes to us with a wealth of experience. Originally from New Zealand, he used to work with penguins. Now as our associate veterinarian, he sees a bit less exotic species, but still loves the work atmosphere of our clinic and being able to interact with great colleagues, co-workers and clients.
While most of his family are still in New Zealand, he and his wife met in Vancouver and now live in Edmonton. At home, he has a pet Himalayan cat named Momo. During his spare time, he enjoys watching rugby (although he hasn’t played himself in a while) and hiking.
